Momentum

Momentum is one of the most important concepts in Physics which enable us to help explain and understand how moving objects behave when they collide or explode. Momentum combines two main concepts of Physics Mass and Velocity. Momentum also enables us to explain and analyze what impact do objects of different masses but same speed will produce from their motion.
In this chapter you will study the basic concepts of Momentum, its Mathematical Formula and how to apply them.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this chapter, students will be able to
• Define Momentum and State its SI Unit
• Explain defining formula of Momentum and State its applications
• Explain why momentum is a vector quantity and its effect on calculations
• State and apply the Law of Conservation of Momentum
• Define Force in terms of Momentum
